Party time and fore-warning my guests!

I had the house re-decorated this week. Painting over all the drawings and gouging that J has done over the last year.
The night after the staircase wall was painted (and all the smear marks,  pen marks, glue marks, gloop mixture from his concoctions marks) were gone, and it looked fab, he walked down and dragged more gloop mixture he had created from the dregs of shampoo in an 'empty' bottle from the bin, toilet paper, and milk.
The fireplace was painted in white again in the morning and was slightly tacky to touch by the time it was after school, but I thought we were okay. But no. J was caught lying on his back on the table, feet touching the paint on the fireplace and making dirty footprints all over it. As it is tacky to touch I can't clean it and I can't paint over it yet, so the big party tomorrow at my house will have a full list of things my guests have to watch out for -

Be warned these things could happen to you at my house! -

  • J is still spitting - he spat in my face today as I collected him off the school bus and then he laughed and sniggered at me.
  • J will steal fizzy drinks. He will guzzle litres of the stuff if allowed to. He will steal from your cup.
  • J will laugh manically in your face like a cackling hyena. He is trying to get a response.
  • J touches his bottom and genitals all the time.
  • J picks and sticks his fingers in his mouth.
  • J will sniff your food and then wretch if he doesn't like it - most foods!
  • J wees all over the seat and floor again like he did a while ago as he is back to standing for a wee.
  • J will come up to you and babble and expect you to repeat it to satisfy his sensory issue.
  • J will take his trousers down and stand naked in front of you.

I think preparing people for what could happen will help them to cope when he is in full force melt down or just full force daily manic behaviours.

The melt downs and manic behaviours are just awful at the moment. Everyday he is hyper and coupled with his severe learning difficulties and lack of meaningful speech it is a very tough time for me, his two brothers, the labradors and the house.
